Why do you say that Jacket 1.7.1 is not compatible with Matlab R2011a? That's what I'm running...

Hey guys...
As far as I recall, users reported an incompatibility with 2011a on Linux, but that went away with the nightly installers at http://www.accelereyes.com/nightly. We have no user-reported issues with 2011a on Windows.
As always, the routine is: if you find a problem on the release, try with the nightly installer, as it may contain late-breaking bug-fixes that fix the issue. Our nightlies are built to run with your existing license, and so you should remember to back-up your license file first, and then simply pop it into the engine folder.

At this time, it looks like we are about a week away.

haha, yeah, sorry about that. We are feeling a little greedy, feature-wise ;)
Most new features and optimizations are in, though, and you can grab the release candidate from http://www.accelereyes.com/nightly if you are eager to try it out. Release Notes for the nightlies are located at http://wiki.accelereyes.com/wiki/index.php/Nightly.

Ludolph,

Thanks for the reminder ping. I'd like to mention that our nightlies undergo the same amount of testing as our full installs. We do not push a feature/bugfix into a nightly unless it has passed tests (and hasn't broken other features).
At this stage, it would be appropriate to ask: have you faced issues with nightlies that are unresolved? Can you describe them to me (or link to forum posts that describe the issue)?

Hi Ludolph,
We officially pushed out v1.8 a few days ago -- it's up on the web now. Thanks for being patient -- this one did drag out a bit.
