Sparse Library SLA not working (JKT-2643)

Postby sriluckus8 » Wed May 23, 2012 4:08 am

Hi,

I have recently bought the add-on package of SLA. Inspite of adding the license data file to the engine folder in jacket the library is not working. If I type gactivate, It says:
Welcome to Jacket: The GPU Engine for MATLAB!

Verifying Installation ....

Is Jacket gpu_entry.mex file found? .... OK
Is the driver version correct? .... OK
Is jlicense.dat license file found? .... OK

Testing Jacket license and runtime ....

Jacket v2.0 (build a6c5ee7) by AccelerEyes (64-bit Linux)
License Type: Designated Computer (/usr/local/Jacket/jacket/engine/jlicense.dat)
Licenses: SLA
CUDA toolkit 4.0, driver 270.41.19
GPU1 Tesla C1060, 4096 MB, Compute 1.3 (single,double) (in use)
GPU2 Tesla C1060, 4096 MB, Compute 1.3 (single,double)
GPU3 Tesla C1060, 4096 MB, Compute 1.3 (single,double)
GPU4 Tesla C1060, 4096 MB, Compute 1.3 (single,double)
GPU5 nForce 980a/780a SLI, 126 MB, Compute 1.1 (single)
Display Device: GPU4 nForce 980a/780a SLI
Memory Usage: 4025 MB free (4096 MB total)

CONGRATULATIONS, JACKET IS ACTIVE AND READY TO USE!

After this i tried a simple code to check if the SLA works. My code is as follows:

A = gdouble(sparse(4,4));
B = gdouble(sparse(4,4));
A+B

This gives an error saying:

??? Error using ==> plus
sparse matrices not supported (src/matlab/arith_helper.h:50)

Can you please help?

Thanks

We dont have support for sparse matrix addition yet. We will be adding this in the near future.
