True, this is annoying. I do lots of work where this seems to come up and I've got to hunt it down every time I see compile slowdowns.

I have talked with Jacket dev team and the story is that this is something that is going to change. I hope that it is in the next minor release (which shouldn't be that far out give that 1.3 provides such a nice base).
